India plan to
send two more
battalions to
occupied Kashmir
SRINAGAR: The Indian home ministry has decided to rush two more battalions of Central Reserve Police Force to occupied Kashmir, in view of increasing casualties, being suffered by Indian troops in fighting with Mujahideen.
This decision was taken at a meeting in Jammu and Kashmir, participated by a team of Indian home ministry. The team had arrived in Jammu to apprise itself of the deteriorating situation in the area.
Meanwhile, the Indian occupation troops have unleashed terror in areas of Baramula, Islamabad and Pulwama districts. Several people were arrested, taken to military camps and mercilessly tortured.
A number of people were reported missing in custody. The local people are apprehensive about their safety.
Giving details of such brutal atrocities in a press release in Srinagar on Tuesday, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference reiterated that no amount of Indian savagery could slacken the onward march of the liberation movement.
While expressing grave concern on the stepped up military terrorism, the APHC urged the world human rights organisations to take urgent notice of Indian military mayhem.
Forceful anti-India demonstrations were held at Aishmuqam against missing in custody of two persons who were arrested a month earlier. The troops resorted to use of brute force to disperse demonstrators at Merajgang area of Srinagar, injuring more than 12 persons including six women.
The demonstration was sparked by torture and arrest of prominent members of managing committee of local mosque.
Earlier, the troops had besieged the locality and passengers were subjected to violence. Immense tension is prevalent in Kupwara where the troops belonging to Heihaama camp at Jat Regiment, harass women and subject to forced labour the aged people.ÑPPI
