Ibrahim asks Pak govt to move UNSC against Indian war threats
From A Correspondent
Muzaffarabad: Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Mohammed Ibrahim advised Pakistan government to move UN Security Council against war threats by Indian rulers.
He feared atomic war could break out between Pakistan and India if Indian aggression on the LOC was not stopped.
Reacting to Indian prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's statement he said here that he is surprised that why Pakistan government did not move United Nations Security Council against the Indian prime minister's statement, threatening war against Pakistan.
He said that the Indian rulers threats were aimed deterring US President Bill Clinton's visit to Pakistan.
He said that it has now become clear that India does not have Kashmir's last ruler Maharaja Hari Singh's signed document of accession and she has kept the whole world in dark by claiming that Maharaja had signed the paper of accession of Kashmir to India.
He said Pakistan should go to international court of Justice and ask India to produce Maharajah's Signed document before the ICJ.
Expressing concern over unprovoked Indian shelling on the civilian population of Neelum and Leepa vallies, he demanded of the UN secretary general Kofi Annan and international human rights organisations to send their representatives to AJK.
He appealed to the Pakistan government to provide assistance and relief to the masses of Neelum and Leepa vallies who are besieged by fierce Indian shelling.
He said Indian shelling has rendered Neelum Valley cutt off and masses there are without food for several days. He said AJK government is unable to provide any assistance or relief to stranded masses there as all routes to the valley are under intense Indian shelling.
He appealed to the Pakistan government to provide them relief in this crucial time.
To a question he said that he does not know why the prime minister of AJK live in Kashmir house Islamabad instead of AJK capital.
To another query he expressed wonder over delay in - announcement of AJK cabinet despite no pressure of the military government.
