offers scholarships

LAHORE: University of Bradford has offered scholarships amounting 3,275 to 4,275 pounds sterling to international students for September 2000 admissions.

Director British Council Lahore, Dr Robert Snell said here on Tuesday that scholarships of approximately half the standard international student tuition fee which is 3,275 to 4,275 pound sterling will be offered to international candidates from non-EU countries entering postgraduate research, postgraduate taught courses or undergraduate courses on the basis of academic merit in the 2000-2001 session.

He said that scholarship application forms will be sent only to eligible postgraduate candidates when they are made an offer of a place on a degree course. It is thus important to apply soon, giving where appropriate, details of research proposals.

Successful postgraduate candidates will be informed by fax, telephone or e-mail by end of July.
