28 cattle owners held for violating shifting orders

faisalabad: The police have arrested 28 cattle owners refusing to shift their animals to the Buffalo Colony earmarked outside the municipal limits.

The administration had given a dead-line to shift the cattle from the residential areas up to February 15 and on the expiry of this date, a crackdown was launched by the magistrates, under the supervision of assistant commissioner (city) Nasim Sadiq.

However, most of the cattle have been shifted outside municipal limits while some were adamant to this directive and the administration was forced to take action against them by forcibly evicting the animals.
