ABL increases
service charges
KARACHI: Allied Bank has raised charges for domestic remittance of money through bank drafts and mail as well as telegraphic transfers.
The new tariff of bank charges effective from January this year, shows that people making domestic remittance up to Rs 100,000 through bank draft/mail have to pay commission of 0.10 percent minimum Rs 10 and for remittance over Rs 100,000 commission of 0.04 percent minimum Rs 100.
The tariff has raised the fee for issuance of payment order and its cancellation as Rs 25 for account holders and Rs 50 for non-account holders. Up to December 1999, no commission on domestic remittance and issuance of payment order and its cancellation was charged. Similarly, collection charges have been raised from Rs 200 to Rs 500 per collection provided no charges are realised from the correspondent.
The bank has also increased fee on lockers and key deposit. For small locker from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 per annum. For medium locker from Rs 850 to Rs 1,500 per annum. For large locker from Rs 1,200 to Rs 2,500 per annum. For extra large locker from Rs 2,000 to Rs 4,000 per annum.
