ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Friday announced constitution of a 17-member advisory board under the chair of the federal education minister.

The announcement has been made in pursuance of the Chief Executive's order of February 15.

The board comprises education experts and professionals who would act as think tank for the ministry.

The board members would contribute on voluntary basis. It would advise the minister in the formulation and development of policies and plans in the education sector.

It will also make strategic decisions with a view to ensuring proper implementation of various policies and plans in the sector.

Those who have been inducted in the advisory board include Ms. Fareeha Zafar, Prof. Dr. Mira Philbaus, Allah Bakhsh Bozdar, Dr. Habibullah Siddiqui, Dr. Tahira Aftab, Parvez Hood Bhoy, Nazneen Najeeb, Bishop Lobo, Farida Babar, Abdul Rehman Fiqr, Ms. Robina Khilji, Dr. Jameel-ur-Rehman, Capt. U.A. G. Isani, Abid Shaban, Mohammad Yusuf Chaudhry, Zafar Alam and Mrs. Khurshedd Kasuri.ÑAPP
