CMEC president meets Wapda chief

LAHORE: China National Machinery and Equipment Import and Export Corporation (CMEC) president Li Shu Zhi, currently on a friendly visit to Pakistan, called on Wapda Chairman Lt. Gen. Zulfiqar Ali Khan here on Friday.

According to a Wapda press release, both the sides exchanged views in a friendly atmosphere on Pak China friendship and decided to continue cooperation between Wapda and CMEC in the power sector.

Lakhra Coal Power Plant, Jamshoro and Muzaffargarh Thermal Power Complexes, where Chinese units put up by the CMEC, are symbol of the close friendship between the two countires.

Zhi assured Wapda chairman of his full support and cooperation regarding operation of all Chinese power units in Wapda.
