KACP seminar today
LAHORE: The Kashmir Action Committee, Pakistan (KACP), a non-political organiation is holding a seminar on 'India's new strategy to crush freedom movement in Kashmir and our responses' on Thursday at a hotel. Justice Dr Nasim Hassan Shah will be chief guest on the occasion while S M Zafar, Justice Javed Iqbal (Retd), Editor The Nation, Majid Nizami, Col Ikramullah (Retd), Ahmed Bilal Soofi, Justice Afrasiab Khan (Retd), Maj Gen Rahat Latif Khawaja (Retd) and Abid Hassan Minto will speak on the occasion.ÑAPP
Partly cloudy weather forecast
KARACHI: Partly cloudy weather with slight rise in temperature was forecast on Wednesday by Met office for city for Thursday. The minimum temperature of the city is expected to show slight rise with the range of 13C to 15C while the maximum can be recorded between 25 C and 27 C. The highest temperature was recorded at Chhor with 29.4 C while the lowest was at Quetta where it was recorded at 1.5 C.ÑPPI
Car, 3 motorbikes stolen
LAHORE: Four vehicles were either snatched or stolen by bandits from different places of the city in the wee hours of Wednesday. Car (FDC-9381) was snatched by two dacoits at gunpoint in Burki Hidara area. Outlaws also stole three motorcycles (LXA-6094) from Faisal Town, GAK-2839 from Race Course and LOW-9947 from Cantt area. Police have registered separate cases and are investigating.ÑAPP
Mengal may visit Lasbella today
QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Amirul Mulk Mengal is expected to undertake a two-day visit to Lasbella district from Thursday. The governor is expected to attend a briefing from the local authorities about the law and order situation and development activities in the area. He will also meet different delegations of farmers and journalists. He is expected to visit Bela to inaugurate a bridge. Later, he will proceed to Hub and Gadani.ÑAPP
Saira's paintings show to open on 22nd
LAHORE: An exhibition of paintings by Saira Dar will open here on February 22, at the Alhamra Art Gallery. Ms Jugno Mohsin, Managing Editor and Publisher, The Friday Times, will open the exhibition. The exhibition will remain open will February 29 from 10.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. It has been arranged by Lahore Arts Council.ÑAPP
