The minister took serious notice of the harassment of passengers by the yellow cab operators at the airport and instructed the provincial transport department to draw a plan for the replacement of the yellow cabs from the airport.
The minister asked the officials to computerised the yellow cab system at the airport.
In this regard Pakistan Yellow Cab Federation will arrange computer for issuance of computerise chit to a passenger availing the taxi services and will contain details about the driver and the taxi. This decision has been taken to check incidents of looting of incoming passengers at the hands of taxi drivers.
It was also decided that the Yellow Cab Federation and the traffic police would ensure that meters in these taxis were not tampered.
