Emirates offers package
to Pakistani visitors
to Dubai Shopping Festival
KARACHI: Emirates, the airline of the UAE, has offered an irresistible package for Pakistani visitors to Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2000, the fifth in the series, which kicks off on March 1.
This year's festival focuses the theme of "Mother with love" besides launch of first online shopping facility across the globe.
"For just $99 per person, our clients get deluxe hotel accommodation for three nights with daily breakfasts, besides arrival, meet and assist, transfers and an exclusive shopping discount card", Shareef A Raheem, Emirates Manager in Pakistan, said on a press conference on Tuesday.
Shareef said during the festival, the Emirates airline has also slashed in flight telecom charges, making a phone call or sending a fax on board Emirate's flights will cost passengers just $3.50 per minute-down from the standard $6.50 at a height of about 50,000 feet above the ground.
He said also during the festival, all Emirate passengers will be entitled to an additional 10 kg of baggage allowance on departure from Dubai.
Shareef said the DSF's online shopping site Ñ mydsf.com Ñ presents a unique opportunity to shoppers worldwide to take advantage of the super retail discounts in Dubai without actually making the trip to the Emirate.
He said another highlight is the DSF Journalism Award, instituted by the DSF Committee to recognise the distinguished work of journalists from the print media. Journalists writing stories or articles about the festival, in newspapers or magazines anywhere in the world, will be eligible to apply for the award in the category of 'International story in English'.ÑAPP
