MDA asked to complete uplift work of roads

KARACHI: Housing and Town Planning Secretary Syed Anzar Hussain Zaidi on Tuesday directed the Malir Development Authority (MDA) to immediately complete all the formalities for development work and begin demarcation of roads and sectors in MDA Scheme No. 1. within one week.

Presiding over a meeting of the MDA, the secretary said the new Malir Project was already delayed and it should now be taken up on priority basis.

The Secretary said legal actions should be taken by the MDA to get vacated stay orders in respect of plots falling within the MDA Scheme No.1.

Zaidi asked the officers to complete revised plan for New Malir Housing Project.

The MDA has already prepared a revised plan in respect of 22,000 plots, whereas, the revised plan for 10,000 more plots is yet to be finalised.
