India RBI says 129.28 bln rupees refinance availed

BOMBAY: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said on Monday the amount outstanding on account of refinance extended to banks and primary dealers at bank rate was 129.28 billion rupees on February 12 compared to 127.91 billion rupees on February 11.

The additional refinance availed at two hundred basis points above bank rate on February 12 was 40 million rupees compared with 2.97 billion on February 11, the RBI said.

The central bank releases data on volumes and rates in the call money market, liquidity support availed from the RBI, its open market operations and repos on a daily basis.
