Govt seeks details of perks enjoyed by officers

ISLAMABAD: The Chief Executive's office has sought information from all government officers about the perks and privileges enjoyed by them or their spouses holding honorary or sinecure chairmanship of NGOs or welfare associations.

A recent directive of the CE's Secretariat states that this information is to be provided in detail by all officers of the federal and provincial government on urgent basis.

According to the office memorandum, the officers in civil administration and their spouses holding ex-officio, honorary and sinecure chairmanship/presidency of welfare/non-government organisations have to provide full information about the perks and privileges enjoyed by them.

The office memorandum adds that the information along with details of perks and privileges attached with these positions about such government officials working in the ministries, divisions and attached departments and autonomous bodies may be intimated to the Establishment Division on top priority.

The office memorandum has been sent to the Chief Secretaries of all the provincial governments for early action.
