Car lifters gang busted

KARACHI: CIA Police Karachi arrested a 6-member gang of car lifters from Arambagh area and recovered snatched vehicles and ammunition from their possessions on Monday, police said.

CIA police arrested Abid Khan on suspicion who during interrogation said that he belonged to a gang of car lifters. Following the information the police caught four people Ñ Adil Khan (PIB Colony), Mohammad Shahid (Brigade Area), Ayub Hussain and Mohamamd Arshad (Orangi Town) and recovered stolen car, motorcycles and illegal arms from them.

Police have registered cases against them and further investigations were underway.

Meanwhile, Karachi police have arrested 22 people from different areas of the city within last 24 hours for drug paddling, gambling, theft and recovered 250 grams of heroin powder, 70 grams of charas, jewellery and cash from them.ÑPPI
