ISLAMABAD: Fires of guns and mortars of the Indian troops are resounding in the forests, causing deaths and destruction to the population in Chakoti, a village situated near Line of Control in Azad Kashmir, Voice of America (VoA) reported.
Over 600 mortar shells had landed in the village during the last three days, disturbing the normal life of Chakoti people, it quoted a student of the village as saying.
The VoA added, the shopkeepers in Chakoti close their shops early in the evening. Most of the customers make purchases from these shops located in one street. The street passes through the centre of the village.
