EPB taking steps to promote e-commerce

SIALKOT: The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) has adopted adequate measures for promotion and expansion of electronic commerce in the country.

Official sources told APP here on Sunday that step has been taken keeping in view the rapid development of internet system in the world which reduced the limits of time and distance. Under the special directive of the federal government the EPB has already adopted several drastic measures for attaining maximum benefits and yielding results of e-commerce in the country.

Sources revealed that more than 9,000 exporters belonging to different trade fields has been put in internet system, while performance and trade profiles of more exporters is in pipeline. The introduction of e-commerce would be helpful for the exporters community of the country for enhancing their trade activities the products and trade fields of the exporters of the country which will positively facilitate their foreign counterparts and other interested persons.

The EPB has asked the exporters community that they should come forward and contact with the EPB for ensuring their company profiles on Internet system without any delay, sources added. APP
