RECORDER REPORT
FAISALABAD: The Ching Chee of China has set up its first trading house in Pakistan where proper guidance for starting joint-ventures and exploration of trade opportunities would be provided with Chinese enterprises.
This was stated by Atif Mehmood Khan, Deputy Manager (Foreign Trade) and an active member of the Chinese trade delegation, while addressing the members of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) at a seminar here on Saturday.
The other members of the Chinese trade delegation included: Lou Shiliang (Principal Officer), Gao Yue Long,Qamar-uz-Zaman Chaudhry and Mrs. Zhu Millan.
He said Saigol and Ching Chee Groups have recently started a joint venture in Pakistan for the manufacturing of Ching Chee motorcycles, rickshaws and other items, besides making ball bearings which are being used by the Taxila Heavy Machinery Complex.
He said India is utilising the Chines technology for manufacturing of various items and selling them in Pakistan and other world markets by branding it as Indian technology whereas Pakistan is adopting the European technology instead.
If Pakistan was willing to 'modernise itself' they should avail the improvised Chinese technology in various production fields.
Atif Mehmood Khan said that their Firm would introduce the Pakistani products in China without any charges and this step would surely be reciprocated by our Pakistani counterparts.
Chinese delegation leader Lou Shiliang, in his brief speech said that it would provide a warranty for the quality and standard of the Chinese products.
He said there were great chances for starting joint-ventures in Pakistan in dyes and chemicals, silk yarn and fabrics, ball bearings, auto parts and all sorts of textile machinery.
Shiliang said that the Chinese and Pakistani counterparts should jointly explore new world markets for the introduction and consumption of their products.
The seminar was chaired by Muzammal Sultan, Vice Chairman, FCCI while Muhammad Ayub Sabir acted as stage secretary.
