'CE's package to ensure AJK economic uplift'
MUZAFFARABAD: The package of Rs 500 million announced by Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf will be spent for the economic development of all districts of Azad Kashmir.
A meeting, presided over by additional chief secretary development, Sardar Mohammad Abdur Rashid, and participated by officials of various concerned departments announced on Saturday.
The meeting pointed out that the schemes would help raise living standard of the people of AJK particularly of rural areas.
These schemes included development of roads in rural areas, establishment of poultry and small industries and supply of clean water.
The meeting also directed to the concerned departments to draw up their plans in this respect and submit the same to the Planning and Development Department so that these schemes could get final approval. APP
