Moin reviews Sindh law and order

KARACHI: The Federal Minister for Interior, Lt. Gen. Moin Uddin Haider (Retd), on Saturday reviewed the law and order situation in Sindh with the high officials of police and home department.

Chairing the meeting, Moin Uddin Haider congratulated Sindh police and Citizen-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC) for recovering PPL chief Munsif Raza from the kidnappers. He ordered the police officials to arrest three more criminals who were involved in the kidnapping of Munsif Raza.

Haider also directed the police to arrest the criminals involved in the theft of machinery in the Site industrial area.

The federal minister told the police officials to check the corrupt elements in the police department and ensure relief to the common man from the police excesses.

Referring to police reform, Haider said that a comprehensive policy would be formed by consulting police officers, administrative officers and learned persons.

The interior minister informed the meeting that there would be criterion of education and character for the selection of members of public safety commission of police authority.
