Oracle seminar on 'Ismart' held

KARACHI: Oracle and its partners, Jaffer Business Systems, Ora-Tech Systems, IBM and Deloltee and Touche Management Consultants, organised a special two-day event "Ismart" in Karachi recently to present an overview of Oracles Internet Banking and enterprise resource planning solutions. SBP Deputy Governor, R.A. Chughtai was the chief guest at the internet banking session.'

According to a press release issued here by Jaffer Business Systems on Thursday, presenters comprised speakers from abroad as well as some well-known names from the IT industry of Pakistan.

Speakers were of the view that an Oracle platform could enable businesses to increase profitability and expand markets in an increasingly competitive global environment. 'Ismart' is first of the series of events planned by Oracle and its Partners enabling users to prepare for the new century of knowledge-driven economies.

Across the globe, Ismart business have come to recognise the power of Oracle database. Nine of the top 10 business-to-business e-commerce websites use the Oracle database. Oracles internet-enabled solutions provide a cost effective way to expand market opportunities, improve business efficiencies and offers a wealth of innovative applications that can be accessed with a Web browser. It is the only Software company to offer a full suite of e-business products. Fuad Azim Hashimi, Chief Executive, Jaffer Business System was also present at the seminar.
