Firmer conditions on Jodia Bazar

KARACHI: Jodia Bazar witnessed slightly firmer conditions on Wednesday, where trading activity accelerated further. The wholesalers appeared to have been stocking goods which was apparent from the rush which made smooth movement considerably difficult.

Tea and some varieties in plastic moulding's again witnessed some variations.

Teas from Kenya PF-1 A grade rose by Rs 8 to Rs 216, B grade rose by Rs 5 to Rs 205 and plus C grade was up by Rs 4 to Rs 194. BP-1 A grade was up by Rs 4 to Rs 224 and plus C grade up by Rs 3 to Rs 210. D-1 A grade rose by Rs 10 to Rs 240 and B grade was up by Rs 2 to Rs 220. Bangladesh's Gulab rose by Rs 4 to Rs 112 and Khusbu was up by Rs 3 to Rs 112. Indonesian PF-1 good A was up by Rs 12 to Rs 132 and good B up by Rs 11 to Rs 121.

One change was marked in skimmed milk from Poland which dropped Rs 50 to Rs 2175.

Plastic mouldings: Compound HDPE film HDP 952 rose by Re 1 to Rs 29, Korea 3080 was up by 75 paisa to Rs 28, Mobil was up by same amount to Rs 29, and 6888 rose sharply by Rs 1.20 to Rs 28.75. HDPE blow 6007 rose by same amount to Rs 28.75, 6400 was up by Rs 1.20 to Rs 28.75. LDPE Thai W118 Ladene was up by Re 1 to Rs 28, Escorene was up by same amount to Rs 28 and Daelim up by 50 paisa to Rs 27.50. Polypropylene film Thai gained 50 paisa to Rs 24.50, and Indonesia gained 37 paisa to Rs 24.37. Polypropylene GP Saudia rose by Rs 35 to Rs 1835, Pakistan was quoted at Rs 1640, Polyrex was up by Rs 35 to Rs 1835 and rose by Rs 40 to Rs 1810. ABS Polylac was quoted at Rs 2116.
