EPB seminars

RECORDER REPORT

SARGODHA: In order to boost the exports of raw material, the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Sargodha, has finalised arrangements to hold seminars at Sargodha, Bhakkar and Khushab in February. Executive Officer, EPB Sargodha, told Business Recorder that Sargodha region produces a notable quantity of raw material but almost a considerable portion became waste owing to lack of awareness among the people of far flung areas. He said the EPB will now educate the people about various aspects of exports.

Federal Board SSC exams from March 28

ISLAMABAD: The Secondary School Certificate Annual Examinations, 2000 under Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad will commence from March 28. According to the Board sources, the admission forms will be accepted up to February 2 with double examination fee. No admission form will be entertained after February 28 under any circumstances, the sources added.ÑAPP

Students display art works

LAHORE: The Lahore College for Women, Fine Arts Department, has arranged a paintings and sculpture exhibition of its best students graduating from the College over the last five years, here at Alhamra Art Gallery on February 1. The young artists include Rahila Naz, Ayesha Saeed, Sadaf Bashir, Ambreen Shuja, Sajida Akber, Samara Yasmeen, Zooba Saeed, and Nasir Khalid. Punjab Minister for Law Dr. Khalid Ranjha will inaugurate the exhibition which is characterised by creative imagination and a social concern expressed in a variety of colours and styles.ÑAPP

Zonal Ruet body meets on Sunday

KARACHI: The Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on Sunday, February 6, at Habib Bank Plaza, Karachi an hour before Maghrib prayers to witness sighting of moon for the month of "Ziq-'ad". This was officially announced here on Monday. APP
