Depressed conditions seen on Jodia Bazar
RECORDER REPORT
KARACHI: Depressed conditions were observed on the Jodia Bazar on the opening day of the week with a few variations on Monday.
Traders reported slump in trading and predicted no major change any time soon.
However, changes were noted in tea, milk powder and chemicals.
Kenyan tea BP-1 A grade was up by Rs 10 to Rs 230. Bangladesh's Garden Pack original rose by Rs 5 to Rs 112 and Khushbu was up by Rs 3 to Rs 109. China's black was quoted at Rs 50.
A couple of changes were marked in milk powder. Skim Poland's conceded Rs 50 to Rs 2,225. Sweetened Polac dropped Rs 25 to Rs 1,300.
Chemicals: Caustic soda flakes Saudi was up by 50 paisa to Rs 26. Caustic soda solid was quoted at Rs 21. Formic acid China was up by 50 paisa to Rs 49 and from Germany dropped sharply by Rs 1.10 to Rs 49.50. Oxalic acid China shed 20 paisa to Rs 31. Citric acid China was up by Rs 2 to Rs 63. Sulphonic acid China was up by Rs 2.50 to Rs 63. PVA Japan rose by Rs 7 to Rs 127. Hydrosulphite China 88 percet was down by Rs 1.10 to Rs 57.20.
