LAHORE: Punjab Shabab-e-Milli has urged the government to include army officers, judges and journalists in the accountability net. According to it, politicians and bureaucracy cannot commit corruption without the assistance of these segments of society.

In a statement issued here on Monday, Shabab-e-Milli General Secretary, Fahim Ahmed Bajwa, and Information Secretary, Mohsin Bashir, stated that if the accountability process remained limited to some people it would not give an impression of being impartial and transparent.

They were of the view that in order to make accountability effective and visible, retired generals and judges should also be held accountable.
