FPCCI demands
5 pc Haj quota
for businessmen
RECORDER REPORT
KARACHI: Fazal-ur-Rehman Dittu, President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), has called for allocating five percent Hajj quota to the members of business community and establishing an advisory committee at the Ministry of Religious Affairs for facilitating the Hajj pilgrims.
Addressing the inauguration of the Hajj-orientation programme organized by the Karwan-Al-Madina Travel and Tours on January 30, he endorsed the proposals put forward by Azizur Rehman Rajput, Chairman of Karwan-Al-Madina, and promised to take up the suggestions with the government.
Dittu said that by allocating five percent quota to businessmen who were willing to perform Hajj on personal foreign exchange on international passport, the government would be able to save around $10.5 million every year.
