APHC chief, two
senior Kashmiri
leaders released
ISLAMABAD: All Parties Hurryiet Conference (APHC) Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani and two senior APHC leaders, Abdul Ghani Butt and Maulana Abbas Ansari have been released from Jodhpur Jail after eight month's detention, reports Kashmir Media Service (KMS).
According to the KMS, the leaders had been put under detention last year during their successful polls' boycott campaign. This was aimed at preventing the APHC leadership from mobilising the people to boycott the Lok Sabha polls. These leaders along with other APHC stalwarts were kept deprived of all basic facilities, including medical facilities, in the notorious Jodhpur Jail.
It may be recalled that Amnesty International and other International humanitarian organisations have been demanding immediate and unconditional release of all detained APHC leaders.ÑAPP
