APFTU demands raise in workers' salaries

LAHORE: All Pakistan Federation of Trade Unions (APFTU) has demanded of the government to increase salaries and wages of the workers commensurate with the price hike.

According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, labour leaders including Ghulam Miran Kashmiri, Aslam Firdousi, Malik Noor Mohammad, Khurshid Alam, Kokab Iqbal and others said at a meeting on Tuesday that workers of the country were facing economic problems due to escalating price hike.

It was decided in the meeting that a meeting of workers' representatives will be held in Lahore on April 12, to adopt future strategy on the problems being faced by the workers.
