25 army officers inducted in NAB

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has approved the appointment of 25 armed forces officers in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for investigation of the cases and implementation of the operations.

Sources said that the appointments have been made under the section 28 (a) of NAB Ordinance 1999 and more officers would be inducted therein .

According to informed sources, Air Cdre. Zaka Ullah has been appointed as director (overseas) to contact Interpol and other international investigative agencies, for investigation of the looted national wealth deposited in foreign banks and assets of the politicians and bureaucrats abroad.

Brig Shujaat Zamir Dar has been appointed as COS Coordination, Col Shahid Qamar Yazdani, Lt Col Tahir Ahmad, Lt Col Muhammad Khan, Lt Col Iftikhar Rasool, Wing Cdr. Farooq Niazi, Major Ijaz ahmad, Major Amir Mahmood, Major Shabbir, and Major Babar Butt, Wing Cdr. Afsar Jadoon as Dy. Director (Investigation and Implementation), Major Syed Wajahat Hussain as GSO Coord.(Investigation and Implementation) and Major Fakhar Hasnain as GSO (Investigation wing).

Lt Col Syed Muhammad Baqir, Major Asim Rauf, Sqd Ldr Attaullah Shah, Capt Muhammad Umar Khan, Capt Shaikh Zahid M Iqbal and Lt Qudrat Ullah have been appointed in the computer section, while Major Naubhar Hussain and Major Shahzad Salim Khan have been posted in legal and record section of the bureau.
