KARACHI:IBM and the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology have announced a highly significant joint initiative that will result in over 15,000 graduates receiving comprehensive, leading-edge IT training.

According to a press release issued by IBM Pakistan on Tuesday, the agreements were announced by US Vice President Al Gore during President Hosni Mubarak's visit to the United States this week.

IBM has contracted to provide a six-month training course for 3,000 graduates per year in IBM centres throughout Egypt and to train and certify 250 train-the trainers software instructors per year.
