Captain, 3 troops
among 10 killed
in occupied Kashmir
ISLAMABAD: According to a latest report, the Mujahideen in a fierce clash with the Indian troops, killed four army personnel which included a Captain, Surender Kumar and three soldiers, reports Kashmir Media Service (KMS).
The encounter took place at village Gundi Marsar, Kupwara. District Mujahideen Commander Sanaullah Mir alias Babar embraced shahdat during the clash which continued for four hours.
NEW DELHI: At least nine persons including three Indian soldiers were killed in separate incidents of violence in Indian occupied Kashmir, on Friday, reports Radio Srinagar. According to the report, three Indian soldiers were killed in a fierce gunbattle with freedom fighters in Shahipura-Hindwara. Two civilians also became the victims of cross firing between freedom fighters and Indian security forces. Two other persons were killed in a similar incident in Wagara, Lolab, the report said.
Ghulam Rasul and Ahmed Din, both the renegades, were kidnapped from Rajuari. One renegade Murad was reportedly killed in Patton-Baramula. Indian security forces killed one innocent civilian in Burva, the report added.
In the backdrop of recent spurt in freedom fighter's activities in occupied Kashmir Indian army has decided to intensify its operations in the areas of the valley, reports "Zee TV".
Quoting Brig M C Bhandori, BGS, is Corps, the report disclosed that freedom fighter's activities had gained considerable momentum during last few weeks and successfully targeted Indian army posts in many areas.
To curb the recent spurt, Indian army had decided to intensify its operation throughout the valley particularly in the sensitive areas, like Kazalwan, Michal, Karal, Uri and Culmerg, he said.ÑAPP
