occupied Kashmir

NEW DELHI: At least 17 persons including eight Indian security personnel were killed in separate incidents of violence in Indian occupied Kashmir on Monday.

According to BBC, four Indian security personnel sustained serious injuries in a fierce gun-battle with freedom fighters in Surglama, near Srinagar. Three civilians were killed in the cross-fire between Indian troops and freedom fighters in the same area. Three persons were killed in indiscriminate firing by the Indian troops in different areas of the occupied state.

Eight Indian soldiers were killed when freedom fighters attacked a BSF patrolling party in Nalana Kasana. According to Zee TV, a citizen was also killed in the incident.

According to a report of All India Radio, three Indian soldiers were killed in a fierce encounter with freedom fighters in Madhana Zakoora. One freedom fighter also lost his life in the incident. Three residential houses were also destroyed in the exchange of fire which continued throughout the region, the report said.ÑAPP
