RECORDER REPORT
KARACHI: Hotel Avari Towers has initiated a family programme to be held every Friday, 'Friday Night Fever', where children between the ages of 3 and 12 years would be cared for and entertained by the hotel staff independent of their family members.
Ludwig E. Szeiler, General Manager of Avari Towers, giving details of the new programme at a press briefing said that every Friday a family would be able to enjoy from the finest international cuisine to traditional street fun food.
He said there would be music, raffle draws enabling one to fly to any foreign destination, treasure hunt -- that is finding out hidden gifts either from the swimming pool or from any other place Ñ diving competition, fun and games for the kids and adults and many other attractive events.
He said so far six airlines had shown interest and sponsored six tickets for lucky draw. These draws would be held on the six coming Fridays starting from April 21, the first night of the first programme. The "Friday Night Fever" will continue regularly till Ramazan begins.
Szeiler said the hotel had made special arrangement for the children 3-12 years old. They would be taken care of by the hotel staff so that "mummy papa and other elders" enjoy their evening.
The children coming to hotel would have a separate menu, separate games, separate music and singing programmes, separate chairs, tables and cutlery. However, if they wish to join their parents, they would be free to do so.
Afzal Aslam Mirza, food and beverage manager, and Farah Salem, public relations officer, also briefed the newsmen.
