Rs 44 in Karachi

KARACHI: Gold price has soared by Rs 44 due to increase in international market, a local dealer in bullion market said on Monday.

Gold rate in the local market increased to Rs 5024 per 10 grams from Rs 4980 on Friday last as the international gold market price rose by around $2.5 per ounce.

In Lahore the rate of gold Tezabi for the day was Rs 5041 against Friday's Rs 5,009 while gold rose to 4,621, registering increase of Rs 31.

Multan bullion market witnessed no change over the period where on Monday Gold Tezabi stood at 4970 and gold Rs 4,550. Hyderabad bullion rates also remained the same with Tezabi selling for Rs 5,020.

Meanwhile, dollar position almost remained the same in the local market.ÑAPP
