Conditions improve on seed, grain markets
RECORDER REPORT
KARACHI: Some improvement was witnessed in trading on seed and grain market on Monday as buyers indulged in fresh dealings.
On the grams side, gram garda picked Rs 45 to Rs 1,920 and Rs 1,960. Gram imported gained Rs 35 and Rs 50 to Rs 1,910 and Rs 1,950 in modest activity. Yellow peas inferior type was up by Rs 10 to Rs 1,175 while superior quality maintained overnight level at Rs 1,200. Beetle 50-50 Punjab gained Rs 50 and Rs 70 to Rs 1,975 and Rs 2,015. Beetle No 1 rose by Rs 40 and Rs 50 to Rs 2,025 and Rs 2,090. However, gram dal imported shed Rs 25 and Rs 30 at Rs Rs 2,200 and Rs 2,250.
On the cereals side, masoor imported lost Rs 50 to Rs 2,200 and Rs 2,250. Tuver Sindh and Punjab were quoted at Rs 2300 and Rs 2350. Barley Sindh and Mardan were down by Rs 25.
On the seed sector, rapeseed cake shed Rs 2 and Rs 3 to Rs 163 and Rs 165. Other types maintained their previous levels.
