Action against building rules violations starts
ISLAMABAD: CDA Building Control Section (BCS) has started action against building rules violations in different sectors of Islamabad.
BCS sources told APP that a comprehensive strategy has been devised to check building rules violator, encroachment and use of residential property into commercial purposes in Islamabad.
He said as a first step Building Control Section (BCS) challaned 50 law violators and issued notices of Rs. 10,000 each as a penalty.
According to the informed sources BCS already completed survey of all sectors and identified building rules violators. The sources said that in first phase residential property which turned into commercial will be checked.
He said various law violators turned their residential property into beauty parlour, shops, shopping centres, schools, nursing homes, clinics, property dealers centres, guest houses and other violations.
He said CDA already issued notices to the building law violators to remove encroachments and rectify their violations.
Building Control Section after the expiry of notices has been issuing challan notice of Rs. 10,000 each. He said after the challan, CDA will cancel allotment of property as a last hope.
He said building rules violation is increasing and some commercial property owners constructed additional building storeys in Super, Jinnah Super Markets, in Blue Area and F-10 markaz.
He said the conversion of residential street into shopping centres at Peshawar More will also be checked according to the rules and the violators will be taken to task.
The sources said some owners of building in Blue Area, F-10, Aabpara, Peshawar More had encroached their limits which is against law and encourage others to construct illegal buildings and structures where they want.
Replying to a question he said action against the law violators will be across the board. He said the authority will check 100 residential houses which were turned into guest houses in different posh sectors. APP
