International workshop on rural areas uplift
ISLAMABAD: A weeklong international workshop on 'alternate source of income in rural areas', will begin here at Akhtar Hameed Khan national centre for rural development and municipal administration from April 17 to 22.
Nearly 20 delegates from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will arive here on Sunday (Today) to participate in the workshop.
The objectives of the workshop are to acquaint the participants with the salient aspects of micro entrepreneurship and micro credit as an alternate source of income, and to upgrade participants in skills in the techniques of alternative source of income and their application in self-employment projects.
Akhtar Hameed Khan national centre for rural development and Municipal Administration (previously NCRD) is a federal institution under the Ministry of Environment, Local Government and Rural Development responsible for rural development in Pakistan through its programmes of training and research.
