India office London assets NDC to review Pakistan's claims of ownership

ISLAMABAD: Annual meeting of the Advisory Committee of the National Documentation Centre (NDC) of the Cabinet Division is being held on Tuesday (April 18) to review position of Pakistan's claim to the ownership of assets of the India office, London.

The meeting will be chaired by Zahur Azar, former chairman, Federal Public Service Commission.

Participants of the meeting will include eminent scholars, historians, academics and experts besides Prof Dr Z H Zaidi, Dr G A Allana, Dr S M Zaman, Prof Dr (Miss) Lal Baha, Dr Waheed Ahmad, Dr Nasem Qureshi, Prof Sharif Al Mujahid, the Directors General, National Library of Pakistan, the National Archives, Archaeology and Museums and Directors of the Provincial Archieves.

Besides reviewing the stage and state of implementation of the decisions taken during the last meeting of the committee, steps to determine a more effective role for the NDC in the field of historical research by better utilisation of its valuable stock and collection of records will be discussed at the meeting.
