Heat grips Lahore
Recorder Report
LAHORE: Heat wave gripped the city as the mercury touched 36.1 on Saturday. The local Met office has termed the weather ideal for the wheat crop, ready for harvesting in the province.
The weather pundits stated that during the next few days, the temperature will shoot up and the dry and hot weather will continue because there is no possibility of rain.
The city roads gave a deserted look not because Saturday was a public holiday, but mainly because of the hot condition, which confined the people to their houses. A good number of youngsters spent their day at the canal to beat the sun by bathing in the water. However, the people thronged the city parks after the sunset.
Weather experts stated that insufficient rains last winter, will bring intensity in hot weather in the current summer throughout the country.
