Four of a family assassinated

FAISALABAD: Some unidentified armed persons shot dead four persons of a family in Muridwala, in a nearby village of Samundri (Faisalabad).

The victims include: Hakeem Ghulam Ahmad, his wife, Shahida and a young daughter, Zahida and Noor Hussain.

The motive behind the quadruple murdes is yet to be ascertained.

According to reports received here Saturday, Hakeem Ghulam Ahmad was a well-known physician and hundreds of patients from various parts of the Punjab would visit him for medical assistance. The assailants forced their way into the house of Hakeem Ghulam Ahmad and shot him dead along with his family members. When the Hakeem did not came out of his house for the last many days, the neighbours suspecting foul play, informed the police and broke open the doors of the house and brought out the dead bodies from the house.
