Earthquakes jolt Japan
TOKYO: Two earthquakes measuring 4.9 and 4.1 on the Richter scale jolted Japan on Saturday but there was no report of damage or injuries, the meteorological agency said.
No tidal wave warning was issued.
The larger quake shook western Japan at 2:41 a.m. Its epicentre was located in the south of Wakayama prefecture, an agency official said.
Another quake hit eastern Japan at 5:26 a.m., with its epicentre in the south of Ibaraki prefecture.ÑAFP
