CE to open Islamabad industrial fair next month

ISLAMABAD: Chief Executive Gen Pervez Musharraf will inaugurate the annual industrial exhibition in Islamabad in the first week of May, 2000.

This was stated by Khurshid Barlas, secretary of the organising committee on Saturday.

He said that preparations for holding the annual industrial exhibition are in full swing, adding the government and semi-government organisations will participate, thus making the show different this year from the ones held in the past.

He said that instead of retailers, only industries, especially those engaged in production of engineering goods and scientific instruments have been allotted stalls.

Moreover, he added, the pavillions of the Pakistan railways, organisation of promotion of surgical goods, export and Kahuta Research Laboratories would be the special feature of this year's exhibition.

Barlas said that delegation from the member countries of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, China and France would specially visit the exhibition. PPI
