ECO states moot

on communication,

transport from 24th

ISLAMABAD: All the arrangements have been finalised for the Economic Coordination Organisation (ECO) members countries conference on Communication and Transport to be held here from April 24 to April 28.

A meeting to finalise the arrangements for the ECO members countries conference on communication and transport was held here on Tuesday with Communication Secretary Sh Mohammad Akram in the chair.

According to the sources at the Communication Ministry the conference will be attended by the communication ministers of all the ECO members countries.

Besides, federal secretaries and the heads of various institutions including Communication, Railways and CBR will also attend the conference.

The ECO Secretary General will arrive here on April 23.

The first session of the conference will be held on April 24 to April 26 in which experts will present their suggestions. While the second session to be held from April 27 to April 28, will be attended by the ministers of communications and transport.

The conference is being held with the objective of enhancing and expanding the cooperation between the ECO countries in the fields of communication and transport.

Communication Minister Lt Gen Iftikhar Hussain Shah (Retd) will lead the Pakistan delegation in the conference.ÑAPP
