2 die, 10 hurt in shelling by Indian troops

Muzaffarabad: Two persons were killed, 10 including three women and a child wounded, a mosque damaged, four houses gutted on Tuesday as Indian army shelled AJK border villages from across the ceasefire line officials said.
They said that two civilians identified as Aftab Durrani (30) and Mir Mohammed (50) were killed, while four others, Asif (28) Kaniza Bibi wife of Mohammed Muneer (42) Zahid (7) and Nusrat Bibi (15) were wounded when Indian army shelled Dawgar Village of Forward Khutta sector of district Bagh on Tuesday evening. The names of three other injured could not be ascertained.
Military officials said that Indian army fired 60 mortar shells on a school ground in Dagwar village where children were playing.
Indian army fired mortar and artillery shells on Bajildhar and Trada villages of Leepa valley where two persons were wounded and two houses were gutted along with goats and cows.
Officials added that Indian troops shelled border villages of Jura sector of Neelum valley injuring a villager and causing damage to a mosque. They fired 400 mortar and artillery shells on civilian population in Jura sector on Monday evening.
A woman was also injured in Barnala area of Bhimber district by Indian shelling.
