Hussain Nawaz shifting case adjourned

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court adjourned the proceeding in a petition filed by Kulsoom Nawaz for shifting of her son, Hussain Nawaz from Rawalpindi to Lahore.

The court however, referred the petition to the Chief Justice of the august court as he had already been hearing an application of the chairman, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for shifting of references against the members of Sharif family to Attock Fort.

The petitioner counsel submitted that the NAB chairman got shifted Hussain Nawaz to Attock Fort illegally without lawful authority.

He said neither Hussain Nawaz was involved in any political activities nor was required by any law-enforcing agency in any case. He said that the respondent had made cases against him only to victimise the family politically.

He cited different cases of the higher courts in support of his case and prayed the court to direct the respondent to shift him to Lahore.

The law officer informed the court that an application of NAB chairman is pending with the Chief Justice of the august court, Mian Allah Nawaz praying the court to shift the cases of Sharif family members to the Attock Fort due to security reasons. He therefore, prayed the court to refer the petition to the Chief Justice for its disposal in accordance with the law and the court passed the orders accordingly.
