20000410Rich tributes paid to Maulana Nadvi

FAISALABAD: Vice Chancellor University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Professor Doctor Riaz Hussain Qureshi has paid rich tributes to the services rendered by Maulana Syed Abu Al Hasan Ali Nadvi for the dissemination of Islam.
Addressing a national seminar organised by the local chapter of Universal League of Islamic Literature (ULIL) here on Saturday, he termed Maulana Nadvi as one of most prestigious and illustrious religious scholar of the century who not only launched an ideological crusade against anti-Islamic forces but also paved way for the renaissance of Islam.
"Maulana Nadvi had full command over Arabic language and wrote more than 200 research articles and books on various aspects of Islam," he said and added that he proved that Islam is one of the most vibrant religion and has potential to lead the world being a most popular and widely accepted religion.
He said that knowledge is necessary but Islam is a wisdom that also teaches its followers to carry out their personal catharsis by adhering to the social, cultural and moral norms. He also appreciated the organisers of the seminar and asked the students to regularly attend such seminar for their spiritual and moral purification.
Professor Doctor Zahoor Ahmed Azhar President Universal League of Islamic Literature (ULIL), Professor Dr. Anwar Mehmood Khalid, Dr. Zahid Ashraf, Dr. Khalid Alvi Director Islamic Center UK, Professor Dr. Qari Muhammad Tahir, Mehmood ul Hasan Arif, Maulana Muhammad Amin and other scholars also presented their research papers on the life and services of Maulana Nadvi.
