Newspaper hawkers trust set up

FAISALABAD: Tikka Khan, General Secretary, All-Pakistan Akhbar Faroosh Federation, on Sunday announced to set up All Pakistan Newspaper Hawkers Trust with Rs 50 million.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday, he said the administration has been asked to give due consideration to the press market demand.

He demanded withdrawal of the bogus cases registered against 11 hawkers.

He said that an influential former MNA belonging to People's Party is trying to instigate poor people against the army government. He categorically announced that 0.1 million newspapers hawkers fully support Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf and would foil the conspiracies by the disgruntled politicians.

He warned the administration to do justice with the hawkers otherwise, they would be constrained to take up the matter with the Chief Executive.
