army supervision
demanded
KARACHI: The chairman of Pakistan Homeopathic Physician Society (PHPS), Dr S J H Shah, has demanded supervision of homeopathic examination being conducted by National Council of Homeopathy (NCH) by the army monitoring cells to check use of unfair means.
In a statement on Sunday, Dr Shah alleged that most of members of the National Council for Homeopathy, taking advantage of being members of Homeopathic colleges appoint superintendent of their own choice.
He said that in order to preserve the sanctity of this profession action should be initiated wrong-doers.
He said these people have commercialised the education and are legalising every illegal action. He regretted that homeopathic examinations are even being conducted by those 51 colleges which were not granted recognition by the Health Ministry. As they did not fulfil laid down standards.
Dr Shah suggested that scrutiny of examination papers and announcement of results should be done under government supervision.
He alleged that even the elections of the National Council of Homeopathy have not be conducted for the last seven years. He demanded appointment of administrator for the council and a body to thoroughly conduct the inquiry into this affair of last seven years.
He said over 100 homeopathic colleges have been opened in the country during the last seven year and this have adversely affected the quality of homeopathy education.
