F'abad to have division bench of high court soon

FAISALABAD: Ch. Abdus Salam, member, Punjab Bar Council, has announced that Faisalabad will soon have a division bench of the high court to ensure expeditious dispensation of justice to the needy people.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said the maximum number of cases being tried in the Lahore High Court are pertaining to Faisalabad division.

He said the litigants have to make frequent visits to Lahore in various cases falling in the jurisdiction of the Lahore High Court. This is also causing inconvenience to the lawyers who have to make extensive touring in connection with the hearing of cases. He further said that the division bench of the high court was must for Faisalabad to ensure speedy and cheap justice at the doorsteps of the people.

He criticised the elements opposing the establishment of divisional bench in Faisalabad and said that they were ignorant about the miseries of the people. He asked them to shun this negative approach and support the just demand for the establishment of the divisional bench.
