EPB takes steps for promotion of e-commerce
SIALKOT: The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) has adopted effective measures for promotion and expansion of "electronic commerce" in the country.
Official sources told APP on Sunday that many positive steps have already been taken in this regard. The step has been taken keeping in view the rapid development of Internet system in the world which reduced the limits of time and distance.
Under the special directives of federal government the EPB has already adopted several drastic measures for attaining maximum benefits and yielding results of electronic commerce in the country.
Sources further revealed that so far the general performance and profiles of more than 9,000 exporters belonging to different trade fields has been put on the Internet while performance and trade profiles of exporters are in pipeline.
The introduction of electronic commerce would be helpful for the exporter community of the country for enhancing their trade activities without delay. This system will also be helpful in introducing the products and trade fields of exporter community of the country, which will positively facilitate their foreign counterparts and other interested persons sources said.
Electronic commerce will provide wide opportunities of enlarging the activities exports in the country.
The exporters community has been asked to come forward and contact with the EPB for ensuring their company profiles on Internet without any delay. APP
