Flour sale

points to

be raised to 700

KARACHI: The city administration has decided to increase the number of flour sale points to 700 from where general public will be supplied flour bags at controlled price.

This was decided in a joint meeting of the office bearers of Flour Mills Association, owners of flour mills and officials of the Food Department with the Commissioner Karachi, Shafiq-ur-Rehman Piracha in the chair.

The meeting noted that as there is no restriction on wheat movement from interior Sindh to Karachi therefore the price of flour should fall from the prevailing level.

The owners of the flour mills assured that the flour sale points will be set up at those places from where ordinary people could get the flour bags easily on controlled price.

The meeting also decided to give prominent display to the flour banners at the stalls where flour will be sold at Rs 9 per kg.ÑAPP
